We Made It Simple to Be GDPR Compliant
Adobe asked us to take a tough concept – GDPR, a set of regulations that affect how online companies collect and share consumer data – and illustrate it in a video. We chose an animated approach that utilizes colorful symbols and iconography in a playful way, to help make an otherwise complex topic interesting, light, and approachable!

We were fairy-bombed! Late last week, in the dead of night the faeries of Washington Avenue erected their very own film company right outside of our door! Little Skycar is the newest addition to a very prominent community of fairy houses in Point Richmond. The founder of this small community, a local comic book artist has been working with us on a film about Little Point Richmond, which is coming soon. Now that the faeries have an HQ, production should speed up!

Our digital film ‘Document Journey’ got upgraded to a broadcast spot!
It’s airing on the Golf Channel and NBC during key tournament weekends; including the Pro-Am and Honda Classic. Go behind the scenes from the production last fall to see how we practically shot all of the colored sets with minor clean up in post!

Meet our team: Mike McAfee – Operations Coordinator
Mike serves as the chief snack procurer for the shop. He also performs equally critical duties, such as processing invoices and coordinating payroll. Outside the office, you will likely find him making art, concocting delicious homebrew recipes, or hanging out with his dog.

We built a 9-camera rig for a 3D photo booth at Adobe Design Summit 2018, and had a lot of fun doing it. Take a look at our behind-the-scenes video for a glimpse at the action.

Meet our team: James Curtis – Animator
James is a super talented keyframe slinger, drone designer and pilot. He refuses to reveal his secret source for Korean BBQ Kettle chips and seems to have never had a bad day – it’s the weirdest thing.

Andrei is a man of few words but many talents. In addition to having wicked editorial chops and technical intuition, he has a black belt in Karate, is an avid rock climber, and accidentally learned Portuguese by binge-watching Brazilian films for a year.

Coca-Cola and Adobe Creative Cloud are asking artists to participate in their Tokyo Olympics creative community site. For every entry they are donating money to the Special Olympics (up to $35K).
The brief is very simple: Create a work of art celebrating Coca-Cola, sport, movement, strength, and unity using the brand assets and Adobe Creative Cloud Tools.
Here is our entry to the cause.

We made this video showcasing designer Anny Chen as she creates a piece of art for the Adobe Creative Cloud x Coca-Cola campaign #CokexAdobexYou.
Coca-Cola and Adobe invite you to create a work of art celebrating sport, movement, strength, and unity using Adobe Creative Cloud tools. For every entry they are donating money to the Tokyo Special Olympics.

Let them eat cake!
Skycar Creative turned 3 and we’re still celebrating. Here’s to many more!

We’re very happy to present this updated showreel which uses new and archived shows:
Music: Vulfpeck- “Back Pocket”

Here is a video that we made with Adobe Stock assets. It was super fun to explore Adobe’s stock libraries for vectors, photographs, videos and 3D-models. Most of all, we’re very proud of how the ending animation came out- Check it out here:

We’re excited to see our Intro & Outro animations in new episodes of Adobe’s Make It series. As an Adobe production, the talk show features artists and professionals who have used Creative Cloud tools in their specialized field whether in photography, design or video.
Part of our task in animating these Intros and Outros was to reflect these different fields in relation to the featured artists. Another consideration was to incorporate images and color themes that would correspond to different Creative Cloud tools depending on the episode.
Here’s an episode featuring Keetra Dean Dixon:

Pure Storage likes to have a little fun and poke at their competitors along the way – and some dating apps are pretty easy to make fun of too. We wrote this script in a very short time frame (one day!) and got some super talented actors from our friends at JE Talent to shoot with us. This fancy arcade was built in their corporate offices in Mountain View; crazy what a little black light and neon tape can do.

Here is some behind the scenes footage of “Timezoned”, the second episode in an ongoing stop-motion series. We mirrored much of the art direction that was established by the first episode of the series and continued to use the Skycar office as a set for the project.
