Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco - Arts of Indigenous America

Our second collaboration with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco took us on an intimate journey to artist studios in Clear Lake and New Mexico, and behind the scenes at the de Young Museum.

This project emerged as a true collaboration between Skycar, the gallery's expert curation team, and the artists themselves, granting us unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to traditional processes that have been passed down through generations. The film celebrates the continuity between ancestral and contemporary Native American art, as told by the gallery curation team. The film is part of the permanent exhibit in the Arts of Indigenous America galleries that reopen in the de Young Museum on August 26th.
